On November 11, 2025, an online meeting took place between the Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, and the Rector of the University of Exact and Social Sciences AIFU (Aniq va Ijtimoiy fanlar Universiteti), Prof. Dr. Golibjon Botirov.

During the meeting, both parties presented their universities, discussed possible areas of collaboration, and expressed mutual interest in developing academic relations. The fruitful dialogue concluded with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between CSU and AIFU, which provides for:

• exchange of students and academic staff for study, teaching, and research purposes;

• joint work on research projects, including the use of shared resources and funding opportunities;

• development and implementation of joint educational programs and courses;

• organization and participation in academic conferences, seminars, workshops, and other scientific events;

• exchange of academic resources such as libraries, databases, and research tools;

• promotion of cultural exchange through joint initiatives and activities for students and staff.

The signing of this agreement marks an important step in strengthening international cooperation and expanding the academic horizons of CSU, opening new opportunities for both universities students and professors. At the end of the meeting, Rector Zaharia invited Rector Botirov to visit Comrat State University on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of its founding, to be celebrated on February 11, 2026.

This partnership symbolizes not only the shared commitment to the development of science and education but also the strengthening of friendly ties between Moldova and Uzbekistan. It will serve as a solid foundation for joint projects, exchange of experience, and inspiring international cooperation aimed toward the future.
