
On April 27, 2026, university teachers participated in a significant educational event titled “The Republic of Moldova in the European Higher Education Area: 20 Years of Transformation,” organized by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
The event took place at MAIB PARK in Chișinău and brought together representatives of higher education institutions, experts in the field of education, and government officials.
The program addressed key issues in the development of higher education, including the results of 20 years of Moldova’s participation in the Bologna Process, current reforms and policies, as well as prospects for international cooperation within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The event was opened by Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun. Presentations were also delivered by representatives of the Ministry, international organizations, and experts in quality assurance in higher education.
Special attention was given to the discussion of the revised Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, as well as issues of internationalization and academic mobility. The event included both plenary sessions and thematic focus groups, enabling participants to exchange experience and develop practical recommendations.
Participation in this event contributed to the enhancement of professional competencies, experience sharing, and strengthening international cooperation in higher education.
