On May 26, 2026, the Rector of Comrat State University, Associate Professor Dr. Zaharia Serghei, took part in the ceremonial regional event “Gala-Olympian”, held at the House of Culture in Comrat municipality.
The event was organized by the Main Department of Education of Gagauzia within the framework of the 2025–2026 Activity Program, aimed at recognizing and promoting students’ intellectual achievements, encouraging interest in education, scientific and creative development, and enhancing the prestige of the olympiad movement.
During the ceremony, winners of republican and regional olympiads, as well as competitions dedicated to the Day of Gagauz Writing “Ana dili – halkın en paalı koruntusu”, were honored.
The Rector of CSU congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements, emphasizing the importance of striving for knowledge, scientific inquiry, and the active participation of young people in the educational and intellectual initiatives of the region.
As part of the event, the Rector of Comrat State University presented awards and diplomas to 20 students who achieved high results in olympiads and competitions of various levels.
The event was attended by heads of educational institutions, teaching staff, students, and representatives of the public of Gagauzia.
