The Faculty of National Culture of CSU Summarized the Results of the 2025–2026 Academic Year

On June 23, 2026, the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University held a final meeting of the teaching staff dedicated to summarizing the results of the faculty’s activities for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of National Culture, Oxana Curteva, PhD, Associate Professor. Invited representatives of the university administration also took part in the final meeting: the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, the Vice-Rector for Research, the Head of the Human Resources Department, and the Head of the Quality Management Department.
The main purpose of the meeting was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the results of the faculty’s educational, scientific, methodological, educational, career guidance, and organizational activities, as well as to identify priority areas for further development.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty, Oxana Curteva, presented a summarized report on the faculty’s activities for the 2025–2026 academic year. In her speech, she noted that the past academic year was rich in significant events related to the implementation of educational programs, the organization of final state certification, the development of scientific and publication activity, the strengthening of the methodological base, the organization of faculty events, the implementation of current tasks within international projects involving faculty members, and the expansion of cooperation with external partners.

Special attention was paid to the results of the work of the State Examination Committees. The results of the committees’ work, the organization and conduct of state examinations, and the defense of bachelor’s and master’s theses were reviewed. Within this agenda item, the chairpersons of the state committees participated online and presented their conclusions on the results of the final certification. They highlighted the strengths of students’ training and outlined recommendations for further improvement of graduation research papers.

The meeting also summarized the results of the summer examination session. Issues related to students’ academic performance, academic discipline, and the quality of teaching were analyzed. During the discussion, it was emphasized that the results of the session are an important indicator of the quality of the educational process and require systematic analysis at the department level.

A separate item on the agenda was the implementation of the Faculty Work Plan for the 2025–2026 academic year. The Dean noted that during the year the faculty carried out educational-methodological, scientific, cultural-educational, career guidance, and organizational activities. A significant part of the work was aimed at improving the quality of the educational process, developing students’ research culture, promoting the faculty’s educational programs, and strengthening the image of the university.

The heads of the faculty departments presented reports on departmental activities. In their speeches, they presented the main results achieved in the areas of training, characterized the fulfillment of the teaching workload, the methodological support of academic disciplines, and the participation of teachers and students in conferences, competitions, round tables, scientific seminars, cultural events, and career guidance activities. Particular attention was paid to updating the content of educational programs, improving students’ practical training, and increasing the quality of supervision of course papers, bachelor’s theses, and master’s theses.

An important part of the final meeting was the report on the faculty’s research activity, presented by the person responsible for research at the faculty, Ludmila Ibrishim, PhD, Lecturer. The report reflected the main achievements of the faculty in scientific, publication, and educational-methodological activity during the reporting period.

The main results of the faculty’s scientific and scientific-methodological activity for the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year are as follows:

1. Publication of the textbook “Russian Language and Literature” for the 5th grade, in two parts, approved by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. Authors: G.D. Drozd, O.V. Curteva, L.V. Boikova.

2. Publication of the monograph “Professional Training of Future Teachers: Contemporary Challenges, Innovative Solutions, and Personal Development”.

3. Publication of 7 educational-methodological guides.

4. Faculty members published scientific articles in journals included in the National Register of the Republic of Moldova, in foreign scientific journals, as well as in publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.

5. Publications in conference proceedings: a total of 89 publications were prepared for scientific conference proceedings:

• 54 - in international conferences held in the Republic of Moldova;

• 29 - in national conferences with international participation;

• 6 - in international conferences held abroad.

6. Participation in the conference “Science. Education. Culture”: 220 publications were presented in the faculty sections organized within the conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Comrat State University.

7. On April 23, 2026, the student scientific-practical conference “The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists” was held. As a result of the conference, 114 student publications were prepared.

8. Expert work and professional development:

• faculty members prepared 14 reviews of scientific papers;

• participation in 24 scientific events was recorded;

• scientific and teaching staff completed 17 internships;

• 3 doctoral students of the faculty continue their studies.

Thus, the scientific and scientific-methodological activity of the faculty in the 2025–2026 academic year is characterized by high publication activity, the development of student science, the strengthening of the methodological base, and the expansion of faculty members’ participation in the national and international scientific space.

A report on the quality of education was presented by Ludmila Ker, PhD, Associate Professor, the faculty’s person responsible for quality assurance. The speech addressed issues of internal quality assurance of the educational process, analysis of academic documentation, monitoring of the implementation of educational programs, and further improvement of quality control and evaluation procedures. It was emphasized that the quality management system should not be viewed as a formal procedure, but as a real tool for improving the effectiveness of the work of the faculty and its departments.

The person responsible for career guidance and marketing, Güllü Karanfil, PhD, Lecturer, presented the results of work related to promoting the faculty’s educational programs, interacting with potential applicants, participating in career guidance activities, providing informational support for the faculty’s activities, and popularizing the specialties. Special attention was paid to the need to strengthen work with graduates of lyceums and gymnasiums, expand the faculty’s presence in the information space, and more actively present the achievements of teachers and students.

During the discussion, proposals for the further development of the faculty were formulated. Among the priority areas identified were: improving the quality of final qualification papers, strengthening methodological support for students, developing the publication activity of teachers and students, expanding international cooperation, increasing the effectiveness of career guidance work, improving the internal quality system, and actively promoting the faculty’s achievements.

Summing up the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty, Oxana Curteva, emphasized that the Faculty of National Culture maintains a high level of educational, scientific, and scientific-methodological activity, strengthens its research potential, develops academic cooperation, and continues to make a significant contribution to the training of competitive specialists. The final meeting, as a form of reporting, became an important platform for professional dialogue, analysis of achieved results, and determination of strategic guidelines for the next academic year.

Following the meeting, specific tasks were outlined for the upcoming period, related to improving the educational process, increasing the quality of scientific supervision, developing student science, strengthening human resources, and further promoting the Faculty of National Culture as an important educational, scientific, and cultural center of Comrat State University.

In total, the meeting was attended by 40 faculty teachers, including 31 in person and 9 online, out of 47 full-time teachers, as well as 4 dispatchers and 3 representatives of the administration.
