On August 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, a conference dedicated to the Day of the Romanian Language in Moldova will be held in the conference hall of Comrat State University (Administrative Block CSU, 2nd floor. Address: mun. Comrat, Galațana Street, 17). The event is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” in Chișinău, in collaboration with the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creangă” in Chișinău and Comrat State University.
The conference will feature two lectures by renowned Romanian language professors: Eugenia Bojoga from the “Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca and assoc. prof. Carmen Dimitriu from the Institute of Romanian Language in Bucharest. Professor Eugenia Bojoga 's lecture will be titled “The Place of the Romanian Language Among the Languages of the World,” while assoc. prof. Carmen Dimitriu’s lecture will be titled “The Romanian Language in the Multicultural and Multilingual Context of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia”.
The administration of Comrat State University invites students, master’s students, teachers, and researchers interested in the Romanian language, history, and civilization of the Romanian people to attend this event and gain new insights into the Romanian language and its significance for the Republic of Moldova.
