On September 19, 2024, students and faculty from Comrat State University (CSU) participated in a telebridge between the United States of America (USA) and the Republic of Moldova on the topic "Constitutional Elections in the United States on November 5, 2024, and Presidential Elections in the Republic of Moldova on October 20, 2024." The telebridge covered the main laws of the USA and the Republic of Moldova, their structure, the process of making amendments, and specific application features. Issues related to the upcoming elections, age requirements for the presidency, and other relevant topics were discussed. Participants in the telebridge included the University of South Florida, a representative from the U.S. Embassy in Chișinău—Education Attaché Joanna E. KRAMB, Comrat State University (CSU), Moldova State University (MSU), the International Independent University of Moldova (ULIM), and the American Cultural Center (America House) in Chișinău. The meeting was opened by Professor Judithanne MCLAUCHLAN from the University of South Florida, who introduced the program and participants from the American side. From Comrat State University, the Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Assoc. prof, PhD Svetlana GHENOVA, presented the participants and expressed readiness to continue collaboration with the University of South Florida in various areas. Following the welcome address, Professor Lia BUTUCEL (Moldova State University) spoke about the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, while the American Constitution was presented by Professor Judithanne MCLAUCHLAN (USF St. Petersburg, former Fulbright scholar in Moldova at ULIM) and Vice-Chancellor Casey WELCH (USF Sarasota-Manatee). The administration of Comrat State University thanks the University of South Florida and the American Cultural Center (America House) in Chișinău for organizing the telebridge between the United States and the Republic of Moldova and looks forward to further collaboration in educational and research activities.
