
Staff, faculty, students, graduate students of Comrat State University (CSU) are invited to participate in the EU Talks event on the topic: “What does the European Union mean for the countries of the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe? Learn from firsthand sources!” The EU Talks will feature the participation of ministers of foreign affairs: the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Ms. Baiba Braže; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Mr. Espen Barth Eide; the State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, Mr. Pasi Rajala, as well as representatives from Sweden and Estonia. The event will be moderated by communication expert in the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Iulia Budeci. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., in the Festiv Hall of Comrat State University, 3rd floor, Administrative Building, at the address: Galatsana Street, 17, mun. Comrat, Republic of Moldova. On October 15, 2024, the foreign ministers of 8 countries from the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe will visit the Republic of Moldova. Their visit takes place ahead of the referendum on the future relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. As the Republic of Moldova prepares for this historic decision for the country's future, the Northern European and Baltic countries strongly support the right of all Moldovan citizens to make a free and independent choice. In the face of intensifying disinformation campaigns, the foreign ministers of the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe will visit various regions of the Republic of Moldova to share their countries' experience with European integration and answer questions from attendees about what EU integration means for them.
