The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the Center for Investigative Journalism (CJI) and Piko Creative, invites students, master’s students, PhD students, professors, and staff of Comrat State University (CSU) to the opening of the exhibition "Narrative," featuring photos and illustrations on the theme of "Human Rights." The event will take place on November 13, 2024, at 15:00 in the administrative building of CSU, foyer, 1st floor, located at: Republic of Moldova, mun. Comrat, str. Galațan, 17.
The "Narrative" exhibition reflects various aspects of human rights through photographs and illustrations created by Moldovan journalists in recent years as part of the annual program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Moldova – the Tulip Press Awards. The exhibition contains five categories covering different aspects of human rights:
- Children's Rights;
- Girls' and Women's Rights;
- Diversity and Inclusion;
- Human Rights on the Left Bank of the Dniester;
- The Right to a Healthy Environment.
Each category presents several local stories where these rights were violated and ways of addressing them. The goal of the "Narrative" exhibition is to raise awareness about various human rights violations and the groups or communities vulnerable to them. Additionally, the exhibition creates a space for discussions and reflections to strengthen resilience and awareness among the youth in the Republic of Moldova. Each photo or series includes a brief summary and a QR code linking to the full story. Each category follows a logical flow and presents multiple aspects of rights violations for a particular group or community. The opening day's program includes a participant discussion on human rights topics featured in the exhibition.
