The HEROS Journal invites researchers from Comrat State University to publish original scholarly works dedicated to the Romanian language, literature, culture, and civilization. The journal fosters interdisciplinary dialogue by exploring intersections between philological sciences, arts, humanities, and social sciences. Its issues can be both thematic and non-thematic, welcoming articles from researchers worldwide who study Romanian culture and civilization in national and global contexts. HEROS also accepts proposals for special issues, allowing scholars to act as guest editors.
Authors may explore the following topics:
- Identity and its formation, geography, marginality, the center, and border regions;
- Freedom, its interpretation, censorship, totalitarianism;
- Integration, resilience, individuality, and collectivity;
- Exile, diaspora, nationality, and transnationality;
- Gender, ethnicity, and spirituality;
- Dystopia, utopia, and the concept of the "Other";
- Popular culture, education, and new media;
- Transdisciplinary research (including medical and scientific topics);
- Artificial intelligence and the construction of new worlds in Romanian literature and cinema.
Publication Requirements
- Languages: Romanian, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish.
- Length: 4,000–8,000 words (including abstract, keywords, and bibliography).
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
- Line spacing: 1 (single).
- Abstract: 300–400 words in the article's language and English.
- Keywords: 5, listed in English.
- Citation format: Quotes are integrated into the text and placed in quotation marks (long quotations should be minimized).
- File format: Microsoft Word and PDF.
The article must include the author's name(s), affiliation, email address, and ORCID under the title. Additionally, a short biographical note for all authors must be attached.
