On April 11, 2025, students of Comrat State University took part in the youth conference #TineriPentruEuropa: The Future Starts with Us, held in Chișinău. This year, the event was organized with the support of the project Strategic Communication and Media Support in the Republic of Moldova and gathered young members of the EU Information Center Network and Euroclubs, as well as their coordinators. Participants had a unique opportunity to take part in a dialogue session with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, His Excellency Jānis Mažeiks. The event focused on important issues such as the role of youth in Moldova’s European integration process, as well as the development of European values in the Republic of Moldova in general, and in the ATU Gagauzia region in particular: respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, including the rights of minorities. Importantly, the youth of the country directly heard key messages from high-ranking officials, emphasizing that the EU is a union of peace-loving countries that ensure the safety of their citizens. They also received a strong message that any form of corruption — including political — is unacceptable for countries aspiring to become EU members. Participants shared their views, asked questions, and offered ideas to improve cooperation between youth and European structures. Participation in such events became an important and motivating experience for CSU students, encouraging their active engagement in public life and the development of European values.
