We are pleased to inform you that Istanbul University – Cerrahpaşa has been selected to participate in the Türkiye International Exchange Scholarship Program (TIES) — a scholarship initiative established under the Türkiye Scholarships framework by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
About the TIES Program
The TIES program supports student exchanges based on bilateral agreements between Turkish and international universities (excluding Erasmus+ and similar programs). It enables students to study for one or two semesters at selected universities in Türkiye, including our university.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at a university that has a bilateral agreement with a Turkish university;
- Wish to study in Türkiye for at least 1 and up to 2 semesters;
- Not hold Turkish citizenship or dual citizenship including Turkish;
- Not be enrolled in distance, online, or open education programs;
- Master’s and Ph.D. students must not be in preparatory or thesis stages;
- Have never previously received Türkiye Scholarships or any other Turkish government-funded scholarships;
- Meet the academic and language requirements set by the host Turkish university.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
- Monthly stipend (amount set by YTB);
- One-time round-trip airfare;
- Accommodation, mainly in state dormitories (KYK) or as approved by YTB;
- Full tuition coverage at the host Turkish university;
- Additional support: visa assistance, health insurance arrangements, and registration support.
