Comrat State University hosted a meeting between the university administration and the administration of the Faculty of National Culture with Kyrsten Myrup, a participant in the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program, who served as an instructor of the English Club at our university during the 2024–2025 academic year. Kyrsten Myrup actively worked with students from various faculties, academic staff, and high school students, developing skills in conversational English, intercultural communication, and critical thinking. Participants of the English Club included learners interested in improving their English proficiency. The Rector of Comrat State University Assoc. prof., Dr., Serghei Zaharia expressed his gratitude to Kyrsten Myrup for her professionalism, enthusiasm, and personal contribution to the educational process. He noted that such collaboration promotes the internationalization of the university, enriches the cultural and linguistic environment, and opens new educational and exchange opportunities for students. It is especially important that young people from the ATU Gagauzia region had the unique opportunity to acquire language skills directly from a native English speaker. In turn, Kyrsten Myrup expressed her gratitude to our university for the opportunity to conduct the English Club at the CSU American Resource Center. She noted that during her stay and work in the ATU Gagauzia region, she gained a unique experience learning about the culture and traditions of the ethnic communities living there. Her experience at the Mihail Ciachir College (Comrat municipality) will enable her to apply her newly acquired skills in her future professional career. Comrat State University highly values its partnership with the Fulbright Program and looks forward to continued successful cooperation in the future, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
