Conference “From Cultural Roots to Global Solidarity: The Philosophy of Ahi Order and TİKA’s Mission” Held at Moldova-Comrat State University

Moldova-Comrat State University, operating in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia under the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova, hosted an important event to discuss the activities carried out by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Moldova at an academic level.

The conference, titled “From Cultural Roots to Global Solidarity: The Philosophy of Ahi Order and TİKA’s Mission”, was delivered by Dr. Abdullah TURAN, faculty member of Aksaray University. The event drew the attention of TİKA’s Moldova-Chișinău Coordinator Mr. Tarık METE, university academics, students, and local institution representatives.

In his presentation, Dr. Turan examined the Ahi philosophy, which originates from the depths of Turkish history, within the framework of social solidarity, honesty, professional ethics, and a culture of sharing. He emphasized that the Ahi tradition is not only a guild organization but also a moral system that prioritizes social order. In this context, he highlighted that TİKA’s contemporary development assistance and educational and cultural projects reflect the modern embodiment of the Ahi understanding.

At the end of the conference, an interactive discussion was held, where participants posed questions and exchanged ideas on the impact of TİKA’s projects in Moldova.

The event contributed to strengthening the cultural and academic ties between Moldova and Türkiye and underlined once again the universal values offered by the Ahi heritage.
