
On October 3, 2025, Comrat State University (CSU) once again hosted a delegation from the North Carolina State University (NCSU, USA) within the framework of the project “Exchange Speaker Program: North Carolina State University - Technical University of Moldova with the participation of other universities”, funded by the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
This second official visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of partner institutions to continue academic dialogue and strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and engineering.
CSU Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, expressed gratitude to the U.S. Embassy and the leadership of NCSU for their continuous support of educational and research initiatives, emphasizing that such activities contribute significantly to the internationalization of higher education and the sustainable development of southern Moldova.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the outcomes of the first visit (May 2025) and outlined new areas of collaboration, including academic exchanges, applied research projects, and the modernization of study programs in agriculture and food technologies.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Svetlana Ghenova, Assoc. Prof., Vice-Rector of CSU, Dr. habil. Serghei Cara, Assoc. Prof., Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies, and researchers from the Technical University of Moldova (TUM).
The visit provided another valuable opportunity to exchange experience and strengthen partnerships between universities in the Republic of Moldova and the United States, confirming the importance of innovative and sustainable education.
