
On November 18, 2025, the Faculty of National Culture hosted a student round table with international participation dedicated to media safety, development of digital competencies, and prevention of cyberbullying in the educational space.
Moderators of the event:

Welcoming remarks were addressed to the participants by the Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Assoc., prof. PhD Svetlana Ghenova, and the Dean of the Faculty of National Culture, Oxana Curteva, Assoc., prof. PhD. Students of Comrat State University, as well as invited students from Ivan Ohienko Kamianets-Podilskyi National University (Ukraine) and the Southern Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky (Ukraine), presented relevant and informative reports on key issues of media literacy and digital safety:
- Fact-checking as a 21st-century skill, tools for information verification
(Anastasia Novak, Svetlana Popa, RA-24);
- Mechanisms for recognizing and preventing cyberbullying; digital identity protection
(Tatiana Kazaku, GR-24);
- Pedagogical conditions for developing media literacy among primary school students
(Anna Cherneliivska, Kamianets-Podilskyi National University, Ukraine);
- Developing reading interest in primary school students through media technologies
(Irina Kashina, Kamianets-Podilskyi National University, Ukraine).
Special attention was also given to management strategies for media safety in educational institutions: implementation of PROTECTOR AI, introduction of anonymous reporting systems (Viktor Doichev, MOM-24), protection of copyright in the digital environment (Vladimir Shchegolev, PM-24), and practical ways to prevent online threats (Nina Ormanji, MOM-25). In conclusion, the participants summed up the results and adopted a resolution outlining further directions for developing digital culture, media literacy, and safety practices in the educational space. The event became an important platform for academic dialogue, professional exchange, and promotion of initiatives in digital security, engaging students in solving real challenges of the modern information society.
