Faculty members of the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University participated in the presentation of the National Action Plan for the Study and Promotion of the Gagauz Language for 2026–2027. The document was developed at the state level and is aimed at providing systematic support for the Gagauz language at all levels of education — from early childhood education to university level, as well as in programs for adults.

The plan предусматривает a wide range of measures, including support for teachers and their professional development, the development of digital educational resources in the Gagauz language, the publication of modern educational materials, the organization of language courses for adults, and the updating of the curriculum for Gagauz language and literature with a focus on developing students’ communicative skills.

The Ministry of Education and Research has allocated 2.2 million lei for the implementation of the program. The next two years will represent the stage of practical implementation of the plan, and the results may form the basis for a long-term national strategy for the development and promotion of the Gagauz language.

The event, which was held at the General Directorate of Education of ATU Gagauzia, brought together representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, the General Directorate of Education of Gagauzia, Comrat State University, the M. V. Marunevich Research Center, the Mihail Ciachir College, as well as teachers from schools and early childhood education institutions of the autonomy.
