At Comrat State University, in cooperation with the Research Center named after M.V. Marunevich, work has started on preparing a large-scale publication entitled “The History of CSU: From Its Origins to the Present Day.”
As part of this initiative, a working meeting was held with vice-rectors, deans, and heads of departments. The participants discussed the concept of the future publication, its structure, and the main directions of work.
The Rector of the university, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia, emphasized that creating such a book is not just a scientific project, but an important mission for the entire academic community. According to him, CSU has gone through a significant path of development, and today it is especially important to preserve this history for future generations.
“We must collect and carefully preserve everything related to the creation and formation of the university—documents, memories, personal stories. Behind every stage of development are people, their work, their ideas, and their dedication. This is what forms the true spirit of the university,” the rector noted.
He also added that the publication should become not only a chronicle of facts but also a reflection of CSU’s values: “It is important that the book shows not only the chronology of events but also the atmosphere, traditions, and scientific and educational achievements. This is our shared history and our pride.”
The rector also highlighted the role of the team in this work, calling on everyone to actively contribute to the preparation of materials: “Only through joint efforts will we be able to create a truly глубокое и содержательное издание, interesting for current students, alumni, and everyone connected with the university.”
The Director of the Research Center named after M.V. Marunevich, Irina Konstantinova, noted that the work on the publication will unite different generations of staff. “We have a unique opportunity to collect memories, documents, and stories that may be lost over time. We would like this book to be read not only as a scientific publication but also as a living chronicle of the university,” she said.
It is planned that the book will reflect the key stages of the university’s formation and development, the history of the creation of its faculties, as well as the contribution of teachers and staff to the development of education and science. A special place in the publication will be given to interviews with those who stood at the origins of CSU and made a significant contribution to its formation.
The future publication will become not only an important historical document but will also preserve the memory of people and events that played a significant role in the development of the university.
