Teachers and students of Comrat State University, as part of a delegation from Moldova and Romania, took part in educational events in Brussels (Belgium)

From 23 to 25 March, a group of teachers and students from Comrat State University, as part of a delegation from Moldova and Romania, took part in educational events in Brussels, Belgium.

At the official invitation of Member of the European Parliament EUGEN TOMAC, the delegation from Comrat State University included: Serghei Zaharia, Doctor, Associate Professor, Rector of Comrat State University; Oxana Kurteva, Doctor, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of National Culture; Ms. Gina Necula, Doctor, Associate Professor, lecturer at the Faculty of National Culture; as well as the student winners of the multilingual debate competition “Promoting Equality and Solidarity for an Inclusive Society,” organized by the Lectureship of Romanian Language, Culture and Civilization: Vladimir Shchegolev (group PM-24), Cristina Gheorghieva (group NDP-25), and Serghei Culciu.

The visit program was rich and meaningful. The participants visited the European Parliament, met with MEP EUGEN TOMAC, visited the Parlamentarium, the museum of the European Parliament, took part in the opening of the exhibition “The Great Famine in Soviet Moldova: Perpetrators, Victims, Scale,” and also attended debates dedicated to this tragic page of history. In the evening, they watched a documentary performance by the “Mihai Eminescu” Theatre from Chișinău, which deeply moved the audience.

The trip left very vivid impressions. Brussels was remembered for its unique atmosphere and the harmonious combination of the city’s historic appearance with the modern European space. Visiting the capital of Europe became a valuable educational and cultural experience that will remain in the participants’ memories for a long time.

We sincerely thank Gina Necula for the opportunity provided, as well as for her attention and support in organizing this meaningful and memorable trip.
