The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, together with development partners, is organizing the annual conference “Cooperation between Parliament and Civil Society.”
The conference aims to assess the progress achieved in cooperation between Parliament and civil society, promote constructive dialogue between relevant stakeholders, and define concrete commitments to strengthen this partnership.
Conference objectives:
• assessment of the progress achieved in Parliament–civil society cooperation based on available data and analytical materials;
• identification of key problems and shortcomings in the consultation process and in the involvement of civil society in decision-making;
• promotion of best national practices in civic participation and open governance;
• strengthening dialogue between Parliament, public authorities, and civil society organizations, including at the local level;
• collection of concrete proposals from participants to improve cooperation mechanisms between Parliament and civil society, as well as the working conditions and sustainability of civil society organizations (CSOs).
