Within the framework of the International Conference “Preservation, Development and Promotion of the Gagauz Language in the Multilingual Space of the Republic of Moldova”, held in Chișinău, important measures were discussed regarding the support of the Gagauz language through education, teaching resources, and international cooperation.
Comrat State University actively participated in the event as a partner of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, contributing to academic and institutional dialogue on the development and promotion of the Gagauz language.
The conference brought together experts, teaching staff, representatives of public authorities, and international partners, including the Council of Europe, OSCE, UNESCO, and the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation (CMI).
The university’s participation highlighted the essential role of the academic environment in preserving linguistic heritage and training new generations of specialists, contributing to the strengthening of cultural identity and the promotion of linguistic diversity in the Republic of Moldova.
The event provided a platform for dialogue and the exchange of best practices, emphasizing the need for sustainable actions aimed at revitalizing the Gagauz language and integrating it at all levels of the education system.
