On June 17, 2026, a meeting was held at Comrat State University with guests from the Republic of Türkiye — Ela Ayse Koksal, a science teacher educator at Nigde Omer Halisdemir University, and Zuleyha Tuncel, a primary school teacher at Haciabdullah Primary School in Nigde.
The guests arrived in Gagauzia to participate in the XIII International Turkic World Symposium, which will take place from June 18 to 20, 2026.
During the meeting, issues related to the development of international academic cooperation, exchange of scientific experience, and participation in academic events were discussed. The participants presented the topic of their report dedicated to the riddles of Andrey Kocanci, a prominent Gagauz writer, poet, and folklorist who made a significant contribution to the preservation and development of the Gagauz language and culture.
Representatives of CSU welcomed the guests and expressed confidence that the participation of scholars and educators from Türkiye would contribute to strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two countries and to the successful organization of the International Turkic World Symposium.
