At Comrat State University, took place a lecture titled “Prevention of Acute Respiratory Viral Infections”

On October 17, 2024, a public lecture on “Prevention of Acute Respiratory Viral Infections” was held at Comrat State University (CSU), conducted by the head of the Health Center of the municipality of Comrat, Dr. I. M. Todorova, a physician of the highest qualification. The event gathered 30 students and staff members of the university. During the lecture, Ms. Todorova I.M. detailed the most effective measures for preventing acute respiratory viral infections, with special emphasis on vaccination against seasonal flu for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. Particular attention was given to the importance of vaccinations in the context of increased risk of infection spread during the autumn-winter period, and it was emphasized that vaccination is one of the most reliable ways to protect against acute respiratory diseases, which can have severe health consequences. At the end of the lecture, all attendees were given the opportunity to get vaccinated at the CSU Medical Point office. Five staff members of Comrat State University took advantage of this offer and received the seasonal flu vaccine. The public lecture sparked great interest among students and staff, contributing to an increased awareness of preventive measures against infectious diseases and reinforcing their commitment to a healthy lifestyle. It is important that such themes in public lectures encourage students, staff, and faculty at CSU to follow the recommendations of medical specialists, care for their health, and lead a healthy lifestyle. The CSU administration expresses gratitude to the Administration of the Public Health Institution Health Center of the municipality of Comrat for conducting the public lecture and looks forward to further fruitful cooperation aimed at improving the quality of medical services and enhancing the health of our region's population. Joint initiatives and projects will allow for the exchange of experience and the implementation of new approaches in the field of healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our citizens.
