At Comrat State University, the "Comprehensive Romanian Language Training Program through Specialized Disciplines" was launched with the support of the Consulate General of Romania in Cahul (Republic of Moldova)

On October 23, 2024, Comrat State University (CSU) hosted an important event aimed at fostering educational and cultural cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. CSU was visited by the Consul General of Romania in Cahul (Republic of Moldova), Mr. Gabriel Nicola, with the purpose of strengthening friendly ties and expanding partnership. During the visit, significant issues concerning the deepening of educational and cultural relations were discussed in a meeting with the Rector of CSU, Doctor, Associate Professor Serhgei Zaharia. On the same day (October 23, 2024), the "Comprehensive Romanian Language Training Program through Specialized Disciplines" was launched at CSU. The event was attended by high-ranking guests: His Excellency, the Consul General of Romania, Mr. Gabriel Nicola, the Head of the Political Service in the field of interethnic relations of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, Ivan Duminica, and a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Tatiana Stoyanova. The Rector of CSU, Doctor, Associate Professor Serghei Zaharia, highlighted the importance of the visit of the Consul General of Romania in Cahul, Mr. Gabriel Nicola, emphasizing the significance of strengthening cooperation between CSU and Romania in the educational and cultural spheres. He also expressed confidence that the "Comprehensive Romanian Language Training Program through Specialized Disciplines" would contribute to the promotion of the Romanian language and culture among students and professors of the university, as well as to the deepening of mutual understanding and partnership relations between the two countries. The project launch event brought together target groups — 30 teachers from Gagauzia ATU, who highly appreciated the opportunity provided by "Dunărea de Jos" University and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. The project coordinator, Doctor, Associate Professor Gina-Aurora Năcula, Director of the "Limba Noastră" Research Center, emphasized the tradition that "Dunărea de Jos" University has maintained since 2015 in the field of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), aimed at the integrated teaching of the Romanian language for minority communities. The Consul General of Romania in Cahul, Mr. Gabriel Nicola, expressed deep interest in joint initiatives aimed at promoting the Romanian language and culture among the students and professors of our university.
