The conference will take place on September 18–20, 2025, in Prague and will be dedicated to the theme: "From Philology to Literary Translation. Ad honorem Libuše Valentová et Jiří Našinec." Romanian Studies is one of the oldest academic disciplines, taught for over a century at Charles University in Prague and nearly a century at Comenius University in Bratislava. Distinguished scholars Dr. Libuše Valentová and Dr. Jiří Našinec, who celebrate significant anniversaries in 2025, have contributed significantly to the development of this field. The sixth conference continues the tradition of meetings among Romanian Studies specialists in Europe and presents contemporary directions in scientific research. The event will explore new approaches to philological studies, innovative teaching methods for the Romanian language, didactic innovations, and intercultural dialogue. A special focus will be given to literary translation as a crucial means of promoting Romanian literature in the Czech Republic and its interaction with other art forms – cinema, theater, and music. The event is organized within the Eastern Partnership University Cluster (EaPUC). The invitation and registration form are available below:
