The Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 20, 2025, was solemnly celebrated in the municipality of Chișinău (Republic of Moldova) during an official reception organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Moldova. The event brought together numerous guests, including representatives of Moldovan state bodies, the diplomatic corps, honored guests, and representatives of the Azerbaijani community. The honorary guest of the ceremony was the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Igor Grosu, who, in his speech, emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova. He highlighted the historical and cultural ties between the two countries and expressed confidence in further strengthening cooperation in economic, educational, and cultural fields. The administration and faculty of Comrat State University (CSU) participated in the ceremony. The Rector of CSU  Assoc., Dr. Serghei Zaharia expressed gratitude to His Excellency Mr. Ulvi Vagif oglu Bakhshaliev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova, for the invitation and emphasized that participating in this event contributes to strengthening the university’s international relations, supporting Azerbaijani students studying at CSU, developing cooperation through the implementation of new joint initiatives, as well as carrying out joint projects in education, culture, and science. The guests of the celebration had the opportunity to enjoy a cultural program reflecting the richness of Azerbaijani national traditions, which gave the event a special festive atmosphere and emphasized the importance of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries. The event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Moldova and served as a vivid testament to the strong and friendly relations, as well as mutual respect, between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova.
