Comrat State University participates in Education Week in the Republic of Moldova (May 22–25, 2025)

From May 22 to 25, 2025, the Republic of Moldova hosts the Second Annual Education Week — a large-scale event organized by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, bringing together thousands of participants: European experts, representatives of foundations and programs supporting the development of the educational system in Moldova, teachers, school leaders, students, parents, and representatives of civil society organizations. Comrat State University actively takes part in this important event, which aims to create an open dialogue space dedicated to key initiatives and strategic directions for the development of the education system at all levels — from preschool to higher education.

At the opening of Education Week, the priorities of educational system modernization were presented, including infrastructure updates, the introduction of innovative teaching methods, and the promotion of practices focused on the needs and development of students. Special attention is given to the "Model Schools" initiative, aimed at improving the quality of education and learning conditions. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Maia Sandu, noted: “Our educational system is undergoing a period of transformation. We invest in people and schools, but above all — in our collective capacity to shape free, balanced, and resilient citizens.”

Each new day, the extensive and rich program of Education Week offers participants new knowledge, new experiences, and new partnership connections. At the event “Inclusive Education: Equal Opportunities for Every Child,” teachers, specialists, parents, and children assessed the successes and challenges of implementing the National Inclusive Education Program (2024–2027). The Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Dan Perciun, emphasized:
“We have an open educational system for children, pupils, students, teachers, and education staff with special needs — a system that has changed in attitude, resource accessibility, and ability to interact and provide necessary services. Undoubtedly, we still have much to do to ensure not only access but also inclusion in quality education and the opportunity for every child and adult with special needs in the educational system to unlock their potential. Because we want a society where everyone participates on equal rights, a society without discrimination, and that starts with kindergarten.”

Comrat State University is proud to contribute to this process and will continue to support initiatives aimed at improving education quality and developing the younger generation.
