On December 22, 2025, faculty members of Comrat State University took part in the National Conference “Integrity and Quality in Higher Education”, organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. The event addressed current issues in the university education process, including the quality of studies, academic integrity, the development of an institutional culture based on ethical principles, and the role of student self-governance in promoting these values. Special attention was given to the results of the Academic Integrity Survey conducted in 2025 by Magenta Consulting at the request of the Ministry of Education and Research, within the framework of the “Higher Education in Moldova” Project funded by the World Bank. The study, which involved 3,635 students and 419 faculty members from six universities nationwide, reflects current trends and perceptions related to academic integrity, including plagiarism, fraud, and the use of artificial intelligence in the academic environment. The Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Dan Perciun, emphasized the importance of this assessment tool for enhancing the prestige of higher education and strengthening trust in university diplomas. Overall, the results indicate a high level of student satisfaction with the educational process and an increased rejection of academic misconduct, highlighting the consolidation of a culture of integrity. Comrat State University reaffirms its commitment to the principles of academic integrity and quality education and considers participation in such national forums an important component of institutional development and continuous improvement of the educational environment.
