On February 26, 2026, a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Turkey, the city of İzmit, took place at Comrat State University.
The delegation included Deputy Mayor of İzmit Yaşar Kardaş, IGF Türkiye Representative Murat Hürriyet, and former Mayor of Taşköprü Nedret Gülen.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Comrat State University and the Municipality of İzmit. Particular attention was paid to the organization of joint cultural festivals, sports events, and summer camps for young people.
The sides expressed confidence that the development of partnership relations would contribute to strengthening international ties, expanding academic and cultural interaction, and bringing mutual benefits.
The university administration thanked the Turkish colleagues for the invitation to cooperate and emphasized its readiness to implement joint initiatives.
