On March 9, 2026, the official opening of the MOI RM project for the study and promotion of the Gagauz language for 2026–2027 took place at Comrat State University.
The event was held in the university’s conference hall and brought together representatives of the academic community, the education system, and public institutions interested in the development and promotion of the Gagauz language.
During the event, the goals and main directions of the project were presented. The project aims to support the study of the Gagauz language, promote cultural values, and strengthen interest in the linguistic heritage of the region.
Participants emphasized the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and public authorities in preserving and developing the Gagauz language.
