Licentiate Paper Defense by Part-time Students of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Specialty “Pedagogy of Primary Education. Preschool Pedagogy”

Students - graduates of the ZNDP-19 group in the amount of 19 people have completed their studies in the first cycle of higher education.

They have already successfully passed exams in the first and second specialties and public defense of Licentiate Paper.

Preparation and defense of the Licentiate Paper is the last step before assigning the qualification of a Licentiate of Pedagogical Sciences, carried out to determine the compliance of the results of mastering the educational programme by students with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, including the purpose of determining the level of formation of general and professional competencies in university graduates.

Students’ Licentiate Papers are a significant scientific and practical research in the subject areas of the specialty - pedagogy, psychology and applied methods. Each student’s Licentiate Paper had their own distinctive features, determined by the uniqueness of the research topic, object and subject, the presence and completeness of information sources, the depth of knowledge of the student. At the same time, each work was developed according to a general scheme based on the Regulations for writing Licentiate Paper of CSU, reflecting the current level of requirements for the implementation of educational research work.

At the defense, students skillfully demonstrated the results of their research, using a presentation and a report. Answers to questions from the chairman and members of the State Examination Commission about the theoretical and practical components and justification of the practical benefits and novelty of the study, the intricacies of conducting empirical research have demonstrated a high level of research competencies.

Most of the students in this group are already working in the field of education, and therefore the Project programs they developed, practical recommendations addressed to teachers and parents of primary school pupils were especially valuable empirical material.
