As part of the official visit of the delegation from Comrat State University (Gagauzia, Republic of Moldova) to the Republic of Türkiye, an important meeting took place on May 21, 2025, with the leadership of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. During the visit, a bilateral cooperation protocol was signed, which includes the implementation of academic exchange programs for students and faculty members, joint scientific research, the organization of conferences, seminars, and cultural events, as well as the development of partnership initiatives in higher education.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of Niğde University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, and the Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. Prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia.
The document symbolizes the commitment of both sides to building strong and mutually beneficial academic ties based on mutual respect, trust, and shared educational goals.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the potential for cooperation, emphasizing the importance of inter-university dialogue for strengthening international academic relations.
Specific areas of future collaboration were also discussed, including the integration of academic programs, internships, exchange of experience in the digitalization of education, and the development of international scientific activity.
Comrat State University, in turn, highly appreciated the willingness of the Turkish side for joint work and confirmed its interest in developing bilateral academic cooperation.
