On July 16, 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Katarina Fried, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, paid a working visit to Comrat State University. The visit took place on the eve of the conclusion of Mrs. Fried’s diplomatic mission in the Republic of Moldova and served as an important symbol of the outcomes of many years of fruitful cooperation between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden and Comrat State University. During the meeting, held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the results of five years of joint work were reviewed. On behalf of the rectorate, the academic community, and the student youth, deep gratitude was expressed for the continuous support, valuable contribution to the development of academic partnerships, the promotion of democratic values, and support for inclusive education in the ATU Gagauzia. It was particularly noted that the projects implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova contributed to improving the quality of education, expanding international cooperation, enhancing research capacity, and supporting the institutional growth of the university in line with European standards (CMI, Tekwill Comrat, and others). The meeting also addressed prospects for further collaboration and the implementation of new initiatives for the benefit of students, faculty, and the entire region. Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of the “Inotek-EU Innovation Centre Comrat” project idea, as part of the Inotek-EU Innovation Centre network. Comrat State University expresses its deep respect and appreciation to Mrs. Katarina Fried for her dedication, constructive dialogue, and continued support throughout her diplomatic mission in the Republic of Moldova.
