The meeting brought together vice-rectors of higher education institutions, secretaries of admission commissions, and technical operators. The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the innovations in the admission process to higher education institutions and the improvements made to the eAdmitere platform, designed for online application submission. Discussions focused on both the technical functionality of the system and ensuring a transparent and accessible admission process for all candidates. Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, emphasized the importance of active involvement of universities in eliminating any obstacles encountered by applicants during this stage. The eAdmitere platform has been upgraded: it now allows automatic retrieval of applicant data from state registries, and applications can only be submitted through MPass, using an electronic or mobile signature. Unlike the previous year, this year candidates can apply not only for bachelor’s programs but also for master’s programs. Other novelties of the 2025/2026 session include the allocation of budget-funded places for dual education programs and quotas for members of the Moldovan diaspora abroad. In total, 8,712 budget-funded places were allocated by the Ministry of Education and Research, with 2,020 places (23%) reserved for educational sciences. The main application session will begin on July 21 and last until July 27. An additional session will take place from August 13 to 15, and the final results for the first and second rounds will be published on August 12 and 24, respectively.
