On 23 December 2023, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Public Association “Institutum Virtutes Civilis” and Comrat State University. The agreement was signed by Serghei Zaharia, Associate Professor, Dr., Rector of Comrat State University, and Liliana Palihovici, President of “Institutum Virtutes Civilis”. By its content, the document aims to strengthen cooperation between the academic community and civil society organizations in the Republic of Moldova, with the purpose of developing civic education, promoting democratic values, and enhancing social cohesion in the country. Within the framework of cooperation, the parties, represented by by Serghei Zaharia, Associate Professor, Dr., Rector of Comrat State University, and Liliana Palihovici, President of “Institutum Virtutes Civilis”, agreed to implement joint initiatives in the following priority areas:
- civic education and active youth participation in public life;
- promotion of democracy, good governance, and gender equality;
- development of students’ professional and civic competences;
- organization of trainings, seminars, research activities, conferences, and educational events;
- involvement of students in volunteering activities, internships, and project-based work;
- exchange of experience, knowledge, and educational resources
The signed agreement establishes a solid foundation for long-term partnership aimed at shaping an active, responsible, and competent generation of leaders, as well as at fostering an inclusive and democratic society.
The parties expressed their confidence that this partnership will serve as an effective platform for the implementation of meaningful educational and civic initiatives
