ON MARCH 27, 2024 THE FIRST SEMINAR WAS HELD WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE UPGRADE PROJECT – “ENHANCING GRADUATES’ EMPLOYABILITY TRACKING IN MOLDOVA”

On March 27, 2024, the first seminar was held within the framework of the ERASMUS+ UPGRADE project – “Enhancing Graduates’ Employability Tracking in Moldova” (ref. No. 101129166), co-financed by the European Union. The event was held in a hybrid format.

Comrta State University was represented by the project coordinator, Dr., associate professor Tatiana Rakovchena, and members of the working group - Dr. habilitate, professor Alla Levitskaia and Dr., associate professor Nadejda Ianioglo.

The seminar opened with a presentation by the grand-coordinator of the UPGRADE project, Vice-Rector for International Relations and European Projects of ASEM, Dr. Olesia SIRBU. The Grand Coordinator made a presentation of the project goals, planned activities and expected results within the project.

A welcoming speech was also made by Dr. habilitate, professor, Rector of ASEM Mr. Alexandru STRATAN, and the General Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova  Nadejda VELISHCO.

The first session of the working seminar focused on  tracking the employability of higher education graduates from a European and national perspective. Partners had the opportunity to learn about the current mechanism for employing graduates in the Republic of Moldova, the mechanism for monitoring professional and career graduates.

Speakers from European partners Alfredo ROSADO (University of Valencia, Spain) and Larisa-Loredana DRAGOLEA, (University "1 Decembrie 1918" from Alba Iulia, Romania) presented Information flow between universities and ministry for national data analysis on student data and Tools and Mechanisms for Career Orientation

European Institute for Initiatives, Reforms and Education "ASPIRE" provided an overview of the state of graduate tracking policies in member countries of the European Union and the European Economic Area.

The second session of the seminar was devoted to the experience of universities in the Republic of Moldova in career guidance and monitoring the employment of their graduates. The speakers at this session were representatives of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Moldova State University, Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University, Comrat State University, Alecu Russo State University of Balti, Cahul State University/

The experience of Comrat State University in the field of career guidance and monitoring the employment of graduates, as well as problems and recommendations, was presented by Dr. Habilitat, Professor Alla Levitskaya

The final part of the seminar was devoted to recommendations for monitoring the degree of employment of higher education graduates from the point of view of university management bodies, employees of career guidance centers/departments and university graduates.
