From November 25 to 29, 2024, Comrat State University (CSU) hosted Prof. Dr. Cafer EKEN and Asst. Lecturer Hasibe YILDIZ from Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Türkiye, as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program, aimed at fostering international academic collaboration and sharing experiences among educational institutions.
During the visit, a meeting was held with CSU Rector, Assoc. Prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia, during which the prospects for expanding cooperation between universities were discussed. Special attention was given to the joint implementation of projects in the field of biotechnology, offering significant opportunities for scientific research and innovation. Such initiatives help strengthen ties between educational institutions from different countries and stimulate the development of science on an international scale.
On November 26, 2024, in collaboration with the faculty of Agrarian and Technological Faculty, including Assoc. Prof., PhD Liudmila Fedotova and Assoc. Prof., PhD Iulia Neicovcena, Prof. Dr. Cafer EKEN and Asst. Lecturer Hasibe YILDIZ delivered an open lecture for students titled "Biological Plant Protection: A Strawberry Disease Treatment Delivered by Bees." The lecture drew the attention of professors, students, and young researchers interested in biotechnology and ecosystem-based approaches in agriculture. During the presentation, innovative technologies for environmentally friendly plant disease protection were showcased, including the use of bees as natural carriers of beneficial microorganisms.
Comrat State University is an active participant in academic and student mobility programs under Erasmus+. Such visits play a crucial role in CSU’s development, facilitating experience exchange, enhancing education quality, and strengthening the university’s scientific potential. The Erasmus+ Program provides excellent opportunities to establish new connections, implement joint projects, and foster the professional development of both faculty members and students.
