On January 17, the XVIII Regional Contest "Teacher and Educator of the Year 2025" — one of the most significant events in the field of education — was launched. The purpose of the contest is to identify, support, and encourage leading educators, share their professional experience, and enhance the prestige of the teaching profession.
This contest provides educators with an opportunity to showcase their professional achievements, share innovative approaches to teaching and nurturing their students. This year, 24 teachers are participating in the "Teacher of the Year" contest, including 11 primary school teachers and 13 teachers from gymnasiums and lyceums. It is encouraging that among the nominees are graduates of Comrat State University from all pedagogical specialties, as well as students of the second cycle.
According to the regulations of the Main Directorate of ATU Gagauzia, the competition stages include:
- Participant’s application form
- Presentation of an educational portfolio
- Conducting a competitive lesson
- Resolving a pedagogical situation
- Conducting a master class with school teachers
At the first stage, participants introduced themselves and presented their portfolios, which included their achievements, work results with students, didactic developments, educational products created using modern digital technologies, as well as video materials and photo chronicles. Among the jury members in the "Gymnasium and Lyceum Teachers" category is Oxana Curteva, Associate professor, Ph.D. in Pedagogy. The teachers still face upcoming challenges, including conducting open lessons and master classes, which will serve as proof of their professional skills and pedagogical talent. We wish all contestants success in overcoming all challenges and gaining invaluable experience that will help them further develop in their profession!
