On November 26, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Comrat State University hosted this event, organized by professors of the Department of Public Law, Assoc. Prof., PhD Svetlana Mironova, and Assist. Lect. Tatiana Sarî. Invited experts included Reguș S.V. (representative of the Territorial Bureau of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova), Grîu N. (Chief Officer of the Prevention Service of the Gagauzia Police Department), and Cara A. (psychologist at the Regional Center for the Rehabilitation of Domestic Violence Victims). The discussion covered legal aspects of domestic violence, its psychological and spiritual manifestations, as well as underlying causes. Assoc. Prof., PhD Svetlana Mironova presented an analysis of Moldovan legislation in the context of combating violence, emphasizing the importance of law enforcement and raising awareness about the issue. Reguș S.V. highlighted the Parliament's measures to implement the recommendations of the Istanbul Convention, and Cara A. stressed the importance of supporting victims and informing them about available resources. The event gathered over 40 students from the first to the fourth year, who actively participated in discussions, watched video materials, and asked the experts questions. The training format encouraged open and constructive dialogue, sparking great interest among participants. Such training sessions contribute to developing young people’s understanding of the social, legal, and psychological aspects of violence and enhance their skills for responsible and respectful communication.
