An online seminar "LEHÇEDİZ: Technological Opportunities in the Context of Language and Cultural Studies" was held at Comrat State University

On November 27, 2024, with the support of the International Relations Department and the Turkish Coordination Center of Comrat State University (CSU), an online seminar on the topic "LEHÇEDİZ: Technological Opportunities in the Context of Language and Cultural Studies" was held. The seminar was led by Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aksoyak, who presented the "LEHÇEDİZ" dictionary. The event, organized within the framework of Educational Diplomacy Seminars (Eğitim Diplomasisi Seminerleri), saw the participation of CSU’s rector, Assoc. Prof., PhF Serghei Zaharia, along with faculty members and students.

During his presentation, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aksoyak emphasized the significance of the "LEHÇEDİZ" dictionary as a vast database encompassing historical and contemporary texts of Turkish literature, as well as works from the Turkic world. All words and phrases in the texts are classified and explained, enabling researchers to access scientific data within seconds without needing to review thousands of pages.

"LEHÇEDİZ" is an open-access system available to anyone with an internet connection, providing researchers with a fast and convenient tool. The dictionary is an indispensable resource for those studying history, Turkish language and literature, contemporary Turkish dialects, and library sciences. Free access to the dictionary is available to CSU faculty and students through the university’s website at https://lehcediz.com/.

At the end of the seminar, participants asked questions about the possibilities of using the "LEHÇEDİZ" dictionary and received insights into its application in academic work. The importance of such events in strengthening the university's international academic collaborations and fostering research among faculty and students was emphasized.

We extend our gratitude to Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aksoyak and all participants for their contributions to the seminar.
