The Rector of Comrat State University, Serghei Zaharia , Assoc. Prof., PhD, met with the lecturers of the Economics Department— Nadejda Ianioglo, Assoc. Prof., PhD, and Svetlana Ghenova, Assoc. Prof., PhD, and congratulated them on the successful completion of English language training courses at the B1 (Intermediate) level. The lecturers underwent intensive training within the Quo Vadis Educational Center, whose activities are accredited by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and ANACEC, which is part of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). This confirms that the institution meets the established quality standards in education and scientific research, recognized at the European level. This course has become an important stage in their professional development and has strengthened their language skills for application in educational and research processes. The Rector also noted that the initiative of the lecturers, which requires significant time investments, intellectual effort, and personal financial resources, is extremely important. This highlights the lecturers' understanding of modern challenges and requirements in higher education, as well as their responsible attitude towards professional development and the educational process. It is important that the lecturers completed their training at the Cambridge English Exam Preparation Centre, which means that the Quo Vadis training center provided courses and materials for preparing for various Cambridge English exams, such as IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, and others, which assess English language proficiency. These exams are internationally recognized and widely used for language skill assessment. The administration of Comrat State University welcomes the initiatives of the entire faculty aimed at intensifying efforts to master English, Romanian, and the native Gagauz languages for their subsequent application in educational, scientific, and project activities. It is also important to note that the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova sets this goal for the academic community of the country and the region, emphasizing the importance of the higher education system's competitive alignment with international standards.
