On December 13, 2024, the Faculty of National Culture hosted a conference organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology to evaluate the outcomes of the teaching practice undertaken by 4th-year part-time students in the 0113.1/0114.9 program, "Pedagogy in Primary Education. Gagauz Language and Literature." For four weeks (from September 2 to September 28, 2024), students completed their teaching practice in primary schools located in their communities. The primary goal of the practice was to prepare students for independent work as primary school teachers. During the final conference, the students presented reports on their practice results and shared their experiences of immersing themselves in school life as teachers. A distinctive feature of this practice was its focus on introducing students to the first days of a child’s school journey. The first week of the practice was spent in first-grade classrooms, observing how children adapt to school life and learning the methods and techniques employed by teachers to facilitate this process. Over the next three weeks, the students took on the full role of teachers, actively participating in both the educational and disciplinary processes in the classroom. During the conference, students reflected on their experiences, highlighting how the practice contributed to their professional confidence. Many emphasized that the initial phase in the first grade was particularly engaging. It provided them with the opportunity to observe and understand methods and approaches used to help first-graders adjust to school life. Among the challenges encountered during the practice were classroom management, maintaining discipline, and time management during lessons. This experience enabled students to assess their pedagogical and methodological resources for further improvement in their educational journey. The students wished each other success in their future professional endeavors.
