At the Comrat State University, the round table was held on "Information Security of Children and Youth in the Modern Educational Space."

As part of the organization of a series of events dedicated to the World Science Day for Peace and Development, on November 12, 2024, the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University (CSU) organized an exhibition of the results of scientific and research activities of the faculty's teachers and students, and held a student round table with international participation on the topic: "Information Security of Children and Youth in the Modern Educational Space." Participants of the round table were students of pedagogical specialties of the faculty's departments. Students from ‘Ivan Ogienco” Kamyanets-Podilsky National University (Ukraine), with which the faculty has long established strong, productive connections and relationships, also took an active part in the round table. The event was organized by Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof., PhD Oxana Curteva, Moderators: Assoc. Prof., PhD Larisa Horozova and 2nd-year master's student group MOM-23 Slav Antonina. The goal of the round table was to discuss various viewpoints on the stated problem, identify contentious aspects, and search for possible solutions. Participants noted both the advantages of cyber technologies and the risks associated with online security, emphasizing the importance of developing responsible attitudes towards information among students. Students highlighted the need to consider not only cognitive but also emotional and behavioral aspects of the influence of information on youth. Various issues proposed by the participants were discussed during the round table:

  1. "Parental Attitudes Towards Children in the Context of Cyber-Socialization" – Marina Tucan, group MOM-23;
  2. "Social Aspects of Information Security in the Republic of Moldova: Protecting Children Online and the Role of NGOs" – Irina Uvarova, group MOM-24;
  3. "Digital Literacy and Internet Safety" – Irina Kashina and Yulia Yarova, fourth-year students of “Ivan Ogienco” Kamyanets-Podilsky National University;
  4. "The Role of Mass Media in Child Personality Development" – Maria Cîlcic, group MPG-23;
  5. "Digitalization and Its Impact on Education" – Diana Golubei, group PM-23;
  6. "Tips for Media Safety" – Anastasia Novak and Tatyana Cîvîrjic, group RA-24;
  7. "Media Education: Understanding and Utilizing Mass Communication" – Vasilisa Caraseni, group AN-24.

"Media Education: Understanding and Using Mass Communication," Caraseni Vasilisa, group AN-24. As a result of the round table, unified recommendations were developed. One of the recommendations was to include an elective course on "Copyright Protection" in the curriculum. The event concluded with the adoption of a Resolution and the presentation of certificates to the active participants of the round table.
