
On April 10, 2026, an official meeting was held at Comrat State University between the Rector of CSU, Dr., Associate Professor Zaharia Serghei and Turkish scholars Levent Eraslan and Emre Ünal.
In his welcoming speech, Rector Zaharia Serghei emphasized that Comrat State University is consistently developing its internationalization strategy and actively expanding cooperation with foreign universities. He highlighted the importance of establishing sustainable academic ties with universities in Türkiye, which open new opportunities for both students and academic staff of CSU.
The Rector also stressed the need to implement modern educational standards, develop the university’s scientific potential, and enhance the competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market. According to him, such meetings are an important step toward building long-term partnerships and implementing joint initiatives in education and science.
Turkish professors Levent Eraslan and Emre Ünal expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the high level of organization of the visit. They emphasized the importance of academic exchange and noted that cooperation with Comrat State University has significant potential.
Professor Levent Eraslan highlighted the importance of integrating innovative teaching methods, digital technologies, and an interdisciplinary approach into the educational process. He also stressed that modern universities should focus on training specialists capable of adapting to the rapidly changing global environment.
Professor Emre Ünal, in turn, emphasized the development of scientific cooperation, joint research, and publications in international scientific journals. He noted the special role of student participation in research activities and the creation of conditions for their involvement in international projects and academic mobility programs.
During the visit, the guests also met with international students of the university, discussing issues related to education, adaptation, and participation in international educational programs. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences of studying at CSU.
The meeting was attended by deans of four faculties: Law, National Culture, Agrarian Technology, and Economics, which highlighted the strong interest of all academic areas in developing international cooperation.
The parties discussed prospects for academic collaboration, the implementation of modern educational technologies, and opportunities for joint scientific and educational projects. Special attention was paid to digitalization in education, academic mobility of students and staff, and strengthening the university’s international relations.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further develop the partnership and work out specific initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and scientific activity at CSU.
