Comrat State University hosted an event dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. The organizers were Dr., Associate Professor L.V. Boicova (Bulgarian Language and Cultural Center of CSU) and Dr. Maria Delibaltova, chief specialist of the Main Department of Education of Gagauzia.
The guests of honor included Dr., Associate Professor Elena Vladimirovna Ratseeva, Chairperson of the Association of Bulgarian Language Teachers in the Republic of Moldova, and Dr. Maria Marinova, lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (Republic of Bulgaria).
During the event, E.V. Ratseeva presented special awards to students who participated in the Republican Olympiad in Bulgarian Language and Literature:
* “Most Creative Answer” — Olga Dinkova (M. Tuzlov Theoretical Lyceum)
* “Nikolay Chervenkov” award for the best answer on the history of the Bulgarian people — Maria Arnaut (M. Tuzlov Theoretical Lyceum)
* “For High Language Culture” — Daria Zhelyapova (Theoretical Lyceum of Tvardița)
Certificates of appreciation from the Main Department of Education of Gagauzia were presented to Bulgarian language teachers for their contribution to the development of Bulgarian language and literature and for high educational achievements.
A bright highlight of the event was the performance of the dance group of N. Tretyakov Theoretical Lyceum under the direction of choreographer Marina Bankova, who performed a Bulgarian folk dance.
During the event, Dr. Katerina Danailova spoke about the importance of celebrating this day and emphasized the contribution of Bulgarians to world culture, science and technology.
The program also included the presentation of the monograph “Socialism — Family — Traditions” by young Bulgarian scholar Dr. Maria Marinova, lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
