The School of Public Administration within the Moldova State University continues its training activities on Administrative-Territorial Organization and Multi-Level Governance in the Republic of Moldova.
This time, the training course is conducted in partnership with Comrat State University for teaching staff, students, and employees of local public authorities from ATU Gagauzia.
The purpose of the course is to increase the level of understanding and the capacity for effective action among public authorities in Moldova in the field of administrative-territorial organization and multi-level governance.
During the training, participants discussed topics related to the public administration system in the Republic of Moldova, multi-level governance, relations between different levels of government and how these principles are applied in Moldova, as well as cooperation between levels of governance. One of the most intensively debated subjects was the administrative-territorial reform in the Republic of Moldova, the current situation, and possible reform scenarios. In small group activities, participants formulated proposals reflecting their vision of the administrative-territorial organization of the country.
The course is delivered by a professional team of trainers — Mr. Serghei Palihovici, PhD in Political Science, Director of the School of Public Administration, and experts Igor Guseinov and Mihail Șalvir from CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation.
It is worth mentioning that this training course was developed by Mr. Serghei Palihovici, piloted and implemented by MSU, and highly appreciated by participants for the quality of the materials, the relevance of the content, and the professionalism of the trainer. Participants also highlighted the importance of expanding such training sessions to the regions, in order to allow more public officials to take part.
