Visit of the Representatives of the Embassy of Bulgaria in the Republic of Moldova and the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova to Comrat State University

On February 26, 2025, Comrat State University was visited by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Bulgaria in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Martin Vladimirov and Director of the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova (ARBCM) Mr. Alexander Borimecikov. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the administration of CSU, where prospects for cooperation in the educational and cultural fields were discussed. During the dialogue, special attention was given to the issues of supporting and promoting the Bulgarian language, culture, and traditions among young people, as well as the opportunities for implementing joint scientific and educational projects. Discussions included plans for organizing events aimed at preserving and developing Bulgarian cultural heritage in the region, including conferences, exhibitions, lectures, and academic exchange programs. The Rector of CSU, Assoc. Prof., PhD, Serghei Zaharia, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the university, the diplomatic corps, and the Bulgarian community. He noted that such partnerships not only facilitate experience exchange and academic mobility development but also open new opportunities for joint research and educational initiatives. The guests expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted the high level of CSU’s interaction with the Bulgarian diaspora. Mr. Martin Vladimirov and Mr. Alexander Borimecikov confirmed their interest in further cooperation and expressed their readiness to support the university’s initiatives aimed at strengthening Bulgarian-Moldovan cultural and educational ties. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and work on developing new joint projects that will contribute to the educational and scientific development of the region.
