On August 30, 2025, Comrat State University hosted an important cultural and educational event – the celebration of the Romanian Language Day “Limba Noastră”. The organizer and moderator of the program was Mrs. Gina Aurora Necula, coordinator of the Romanian Language Lectorship at CSU. Welcome speeches and messages were delivered by: Serghei Zaharia, Rector of Comrat State University; Eugen Tomac, Member of the European Parliament; Gabriel Solomon, Consul of the General Consulate of Romania in Cahul. The celebration was also attended by: Ivan Duminică, Head of the Interethnic Relations Policy Service within the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova; Svetlana Ghenova, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations of CSU; Lucia Cucu, Director of ANTEM (online); Svetlana Stoinov, Director of Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, Comrat; Victor Baldji, Deputy Mayor of Comrat; Nicolae Levandovski, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of ATU Gagauzia; Pavel Buneanu, Principal Commissioner, Deputy Head of the Police Directorate of ATU Gagauzia;Maxim Codreanu, Chief Commissioner, Head of the Human Resources Department of the Police Directorate of ATU Gagauzia; Serghei Culciu, Commissioner, Head of the Criminal Police Service of the Police Directorate of ATU Gagauzia; Cătălin Avramescu, Professor, PhD, Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest; Dinu Ostavciuc, Rector of the “Ștefan cel Mare” Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova; Viorel Dorgan, Professor, PhD, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of Moldova State University; Gheorghe Braniște, Professor, PhD, Deputy Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of Moldova State University; Lidia Ostaș Directorate of Education of ATU Gagauzia; Diana Grecu, Deputy Director for Education of Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, Comrat; Ion Șompol, History and Civic Education teacher at Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, Comrat; Maria Seiz, representative of the City Hall of Comrat. In addition, representatives of academic and cultural institutions, government bodies, the diplomatic corps, and public organizations also took part, which gave the celebration a broad and diverse character. The program included cultural performances, presentations of linguistic and cultural centers of CSU, as well as a round table *“Oportunități și perspective în promovarea limbii române ca limbă europeană”. Participants highlighted that the Romanian language is an essential part of cultural heritage and identity, as well as playing a key role in the development of intercultural dialogue. The celebration of Romanian Language Day at CSU became not only a cultural festivity but also a symbol of openness, dialogue, and the aspiration to strengthen ties between communities.
