
On October 21, 2025, the Rector of Comrat State University (CSU), Associate Professor, Doctor Serghei Zaharia, signed a cooperation agreement with the President of the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University (IMAU, Hohhot, China), Professor, Doctor Yongbin Liu. The signing of this agreement marks an important step in CSU’s strategy to expand its international relations and to strengthen scientific and educational cooperation with leading foreign universities. The partnership with Inner Mongolia Agricultural University will open up new opportunities for the exchange of experience, implementation of joint projects, and improvement of the quality of training specialists in agriculture, ecology, and sustainable development. According to the agreement, both parties have agreed to develop cooperation in areas such as student, faculty, and researcher exchanges, joint scientific research and conferences, development and implementation of joint academic programs, participation in international grants and innovative projects, and organization of internships and practical training for students. Comrat State University continues to actively develop international relations, strengthening scientific and academic cooperation with partners from Europe and Asia. The new agreement with IMAU will contribute to sharing best practices in agricultural sciences and implementing innovative teaching and research methods within CSU’s educational process. CSU Rector, Associate Professor, Doctor Serghei Zaharia, stated: “We are pleased to begin cooperation with one of China’s leading agricultural universities. This partnership opens new perspectives for our students and professors, contributes to the development of international scientific relations, and strengthens CSU’s global standing. This collaboration is especially important for implementing scientific and innovative approaches in the agro-industrial complex of southern Moldova.” In turn, IMAU President, Professor, Doctor Yongbin Liu, emphasized: “Cooperation with the Agro-Technological Faculty of CSU will allow us to combine efforts in agricultural research and education, promoting knowledge exchange and the development of new scientific directions.”The signing of this agreement confirms CSU’s commitment to actively participating in international educational initiatives and to developing partnerships aimed at enhancing the university’s competitiveness and training highly qualified specialists demanded in the modern world. CSU has established official partnership relations with IMAU, alongside the Technical University of Moldova, a key strategic partner of our university engaged in the development and implementation of advanced agricultural innovations in the Republic of Moldova
