Modern Pedagogical Approaches: Seminar for Representatives of Universities and Colleges

On October 10, 2025, a seminar was held for representatives of universities and colleges of the Republic of Moldova participating in the process of introducing new pedagogical modules into educational programs. The main goal of the event was to promote the renewal of teaching approaches and the implementation of modern methodologies aimed at developing creativity, critical thinking, and socio-emotional competencies among students.

The presented modules included three key areas:

  • learning through play — as a tool to stimulate students’ cognitive interest and engagement in the learning process;
  • development of socio-emotional skills — fostering learners’ abilities for cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation;
  • interactive reading — as a means to enhance literacy levels and broaden horizons through shared text discussions.

The seminar was attended by:

  • Ms. Marcelina Baleca, Head of the General Education Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture;
  • Ms. Natalia Zotea, Chief Consultant of the General Education Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture;
  • representatives of UNICEF;
  • representatives of the “Pas cu Pas” organization;
  • and representatives of higher education institutions and colleges from across the country.

The seminar took place in a constructive and productive atmosphere. Participants discussed key issues related to the integration of the new modules into curricula, exchanged practical experiences and ideas for improving pedagogical approaches. Further steps were identified to promote and sustainably implement these initiatives within the national education system. Comrat State University was represented at the event by Assoc. Prof. PhD. Maria Yanioglo and Dr. Galina Mutaf, who shared their experience in the field of pedagogical innovation and expressed their readiness for further cooperation within the framework of ongoing educational reforms.
