
On November 13, 2025, Comrat State University was visited by the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Hubert Knirsch. As part of the visit, a meaningful and warm meeting was held with the Rector of CSU, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia.
The Rector highlighted the significant contribution of the university to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Germany in the field of education, emphasizing the importance of international dialogue and academic exchange. He proposed organizing a series of public lectures at CSU with the participation of the Ambassador and his team, which would become an important step toward enriching the educational environment.
The parties discussed the role of the university as a key educational and cultural center in the south of the country. Ambassador Hubert Knirsch expressed his deep personal interest in Gagauzia and the Gagauz people, noting his desire to visit CSU more often and to support the dynamic development of partnership relations.
The Rector also underlined the prospects for implementing future joint initiatives and projects that could open new opportunities for students, teachers, and the entire academic community.
The Ambassador’s visit became an important milestone in strengthening Moldovan-German cooperation, opening new horizons for the development of CSU and the entire region. The university remains open to partnership, dialogue, and new ideas that serve the benefit of our students and society.
